In this blog post, we share our top tips for putting together the perfect Cornish hamper.
First things first, you may want to decide whether you are going for an entirely savoury or sweet hamper or a mixture of the two. Whatever you decide, we have a fantastic variety of products from traditional Cornish pasties to melt-in-the-mouth fudge, and rich clotted cream to light and fluffy scones so that you can create the true taste of Cornwall.
If you want to send someone a true taste of Cornwall, then what better way is there than with a Cornish pasty. Our traditional Cornish pasties are sourced from Cornwall’s oldest bakery, that has been baking this delicacy since 1860. We offer three different types of pasties, a classic Steak Pasty, Cheese & Onion Pasties as well as a Gluten-Free Steak Pasty option.
To complement your pasty we would recommend the addition of one of our sauces or chutneys as well as a bottle of beer or cider. The Cornish Orchards Special Preserve Country Chutney and the Keltek Brewery Lance Golden Ale would make the perfect accompaniments.
Who doesn’t love the classic combination of cheese and biscuits? We’ve made it even better with our fantastic selection of delicious Cornish Cheese and we've got something for everyone - from a creamy Cornish blue through to a smooth Gouda, they're all irresistible. Our range of savoury oat biscuits are perfect with cheese and they come in three delicious flavours: Sea Salt, Thyme or Davidstow Cheddar Cheese. You may also wish to include our Cheese Scones which are handmade at Chapel Bakery and contain the finest Cornish mild cheddar.
To accompany your cheese and biscuits, we would recommend our Rodda's Classic Churned Cornish Butter, Cornish Olive Stall’s Basil Pesto Olives and Sisley's Red Onion & Chilli Relish. Wine also makes the ideal accompaniment for any cheese hamper and our Camel Valley Pinot Noir is a customer favourite.
The traditional cream tea is synonymous with Cornwall and there's no better way to remind friends and family of their time spent in the wonderful county than with a cream tea by post. We stock both Plain and Fruit scones as well as Saffron Buns and Gluten-Freee Plain Scones. Don’t forget to add the Cornish Clotted Cream and a jam or preserve. We would recommend Boddington’s Strawberry Jam for a traditional cream tea experience.
A cream tea wouldn’t be complete without a cup of tea and our Cornish Smugglers Brew Tea is perfect for an afternoon cream tea. If you want to add a boozy twist to your cream tea, they what not go for a delicious fruity cider such as the Polgoon Sparkling Berry Cider or the Cornish Orchards Hedgerow Cider.

Cornwall is one of the best counties in the UK for producing fudge, but few people know that there are also some producers of high quality, delicious chocolate.
