Description

Gold, Blonde and IPA beers, brewed predominantly using pale malts to achieve light golden colours and a gentle biscuit flavour base. An emphasis on hops in the recipe usually promotes dominant, resinous, citrus and fruit flavours in this style of beer.

This beer selection includes:

  • St Ives Brewery - Meor -  A traditional IPA in every sense, this is a fantastic offering from St Ives Brewery. IPA was originally developed as a strongly hopped, slightly higher ABV pale ale for export to the colonies, India in particular. (ABV 5.0%)
  • Skinners Brewery - Porthleven - Porthleven is a premium, fresh, hoppy pale ale. Straw-coloured and zesty, with strong citrus aromas, starting with a zip of lemon and lime in the mouth, and ending with a flash of passion fruit. (ABV 4.8%)
  • Dynamite Valley Brewing - TNT - Light amber in colour, this American hopped IPA has a floral, citrus and apple blossom aroma, peach and grapefruit dominate the palate with a crisp bitter finish from the triple hopping. (ABV 4.8%)
  • Sharp's Brewery - Atlantic - Pale Gold, zesty and tangy to taste with a crisp dry finish. (ABV 4.5%)
  • Lizard Ales - Frenchman's Creek - A superb India Pale Ale with plenty of hops for a surprisingly sweet flavour and floral aroma. (ABV 4.8%)
  • Ales Of Scilly - Minnehaha - In September 1917 the Minnehaha was torpedoed and sunk near Fastnet Rock with the loss of forty three persons. Brewed in her memory, this sumptuous beer first tempts the drinker with inviting fruit aromas and a superbly balanced pale malt and citrus fruit palate, moving to subtly sweet hints with a moreish orange hop finish. (ABV 5.0%)
  • St Ives Brewery - Alba IPA - A well balanced Golden Amber IPA with a subtle fruit aroma. A soft fruit sweetness comes through initially with a gentle bitterness following on.The mouthfeel is smooth and the finish is punchy as the hop blend takes hold. Bright and moreish, this is a classic English IPA. (ABV 5.2%)
  • Tintagel Brewery - Castle Gold - Golden, hoppy and light. The ideal choice for a summer drink or for the discerning real ale enthusiast.  One suspects King Arthur might approve! (ABV 4.2%)
  • Keltek Brewery - Lance -  A refreshing, easy drinking golden ale with light citrus notes and hoppy accents. (ABV 4.0%)
  • Tremethick Brewery- Red IPA -  An amazing, no-holds-barred recipe for this complex beer; Auburn in colour. The initial bold malt flavour is balanced by firm pine and gentle citrus hops with spicy notes in the finish. (ABV 4.6%)
  • St Austell Brewery - Proper Job - Brewed with Cornish spring water, the finest Maris Otter barley and a blend of imported hops Proper Job packs a moreish hoppy punch (ABV 5.5%)
  • Treens Brewery - Sunbeam -  A golden ale with a full citrus aroma and spicy floral notes which dominate early proceedings. More subtle delicate malt flavours and soothing caramel provide a satisfying finish to this complex but exceedingly well balanced beer. (ABV 4.8%)

Can I request a delivery date?

We can deliver your order on a date of your choice (please see above regarding weekend delivery). Please specify this when you complete your order. All requested delivery dates are desired and not guaranteed. We will do our utmost to ensure delivery on your requested day but occasionally deliveries may be delayed due to adverse weather or other conditions beyond our control for which we will not be held responsible.

A delivery date cannot be selected for items sent via the free of charge option. We do send these items on a fast service but are unable to guarantee delivery next day. For this reason items sent on this service are dispatched Monday - Thursday only.

Delivery to Non Mainland UK, Scottish Highlands & Islands

It takes longer to deliver to some of the Scottish Highlands and UK Islands so we can only deliver hampers containing non perishable items to these areas. This may take 2 or more working days. Delivery surcharges for the relevant postcodes are calculated at the checkout.

Fresh & Frozen Produce

Hampers containing fresh produce will only be dispatched Monday to Thursday.

We send Clotted Cream and Pasties out frozen and use an overnight courier service for delivery, so they should arrive in a chilled condition. However we advise that someone be available to receive hampers containing perishable products in order that they can be placed in a refrigerator as soon as possible. The courier will advise an estimated delivery time in advance, we will need a mobile phone number or email address to be provided. All hampers containing these products will have a notice on the outer carton to this effect. However, if for any reason the hamper has to be returned to the courier depot overnight, we are unable to guarantee the condition of these products.

Delivery Instructions

Signatures are no longer required upon delivery, although the recipient must acknowledge receipt unless the hamper is to be left in a designated place.

If the package cannot be delivered, a card will be left advising the purchaser or recipient to contact the courier. In the unlikely event that the delivery is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, Classic Cornish Hampers cannot accept responsibility. Nor can we be held responsible if incorrect delivery information is given, premises are closed when delivery is attempted and we were not informed of opening times or the recipient is out or away.

The couriers are responsible for goods in transit but if for any reason our couriers misplace a parcel, we will offer you a complete refund or replacement.

Combined Bottle & Food Orders

If you make your own hamper and it contains both bottles and food items, you may have to pay an extra delivery charge. To avoid breakages, orders over 4 bottles need to be sent with different couriers. Your chosen box (black gift box / wicker hamper) will only apply to your food items; bottles are sent in our standard cartons.

Up to 4 bottles, our standard rules apply. Between 5 - 12 bottles, an extra delivery charge will be applied, and over 12 bottles, three carriage charges will apply.

For more information, please view our full delivery policy here.

Returns Policy

You may cancel your order up to 48 hours prior to the dispatch date. This will incur a small administration charge. If you are not happy with your hamper please contact us to arrange return within 24 hours. The full value of the hamper/box will then be refunded on receipt of undamaged and/or in date goods excluding postage.

If goods are returned to us via the courier following unsuccessful attempts at delivery and where any delivery instructions have been met no refund will be made. In these circumstances the customer may request that the goods be resent. This would incur the standard delivery charge and would not cover any spoilt perishable goods. Classic Cornish Hampers will not make any administration charge for dealing with these cases.
